We had a further great stay in the Balmoral. Service, friendliness, breakfast and the rooms are fantastic. Also the hygenic concept in regards to COVID-19 is well planned and implementet. If you are looking for a hotel in Edinburgh with a great location, a lovely Whiskey bar, a Spa and want to get pampered the Balmoral is the perfect choice!

4/ 5

We spent a lovely night at The Balmoral in January 2022. In particular the service was nothing short of immaculate; from the front desk to room service, everyone we met was wonderfully attentive and friendly. The only reason for the 4 stars was the vegan breakfast. We were pleased to be given a menu of around 6 different vegan options, only to be told 4 of those were not available. The staff did their best to provide alternatives for us, but the breakfast was, unsurprisingly, pretty disappointing and we felt the hotel let itself down on this front. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our stay

On Saturday we popped into the Balmoral hotel after a hectic few hours of shopping. We relaxed in the bar with a bottle of wine listening to the man singing and playing the piano. Fabulous couple of hours. Turned into the highlight of our weekend. Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Welcoming and friendly staff. If you get the chance you must try this.

A true classic with all the fixtures and fittings you'd expect, with excellent service to boot. Pricey but worth it for that extra special experience. Spectacular views of the city from the west side of the building.

Got off the pullman train into the station then onto The Balmoral Hotel. Beautiful place, had a light lunch of continental meats a bottle of wine. Music being played by a man on the piano. Very nice and relaxing. Enjoyed by both of us.
