Nice place near a park, a cricket club to the south, yet another huge park called festival gardens. Right after we have the muddy Merry river somehow a prolonged for the sailor but a feast for the photographer. In about 7 minutes we are easily getting out from Liverpool Central Station

4/ 5

Quaint old station building with stepped ramps down to platforms, so wheelchair access possible but not easy. Bike rack but no car park, though there may be the odd space in the road leading to the station entrance. Staffed ticket office as elsewhere on the Merseyrail network. Generally quite quiet though at peak times it can be relatively busy. Set in a wide cutting that's fairly sheltered and very pleasant in summer.

4/ 5

Normally a very quiet ststion although there is only one ticket window and no ticket machine so there can be a queue out or the door just after 8am on a week day so extra time should be given for the commute.

3/ 5

Generally a quiet station on the Northern Line on the section between Hunts Cross and Liverpool Central. The station is staffed so tickets can be obtained during the times that the station is open. A toilet is available opposite the ticket office.

4/ 5

It's a station, you stand on a platform until a train comes and it takes you to where you want to go. If that doesn't occur, either you didn't get off when you were supposed to or you should have been standing at the other platform.
