Good surgery with lovely doctors but it can be nearly impossible to make an appointment! I usually have to ring the number repeatedly around 20 times to get through and then usually on hold for 10 - 15 mins waiting to book an appointment. It is just not acceptable to have to go through this every time you want to make an appointment. I understand that you can make appointments online but this will not be accessible to everyone.

New to the area and Laura was great helping me, as they have been with prescriptions. Phone backs are long but with covid 19 and being in a city not bad at all, came from a small village and its the same and that was a small village.

They ask you to complete online request rather than calling now. I have submitted a request over 3 weeks ago and no one has got back to me. This is a very serious matter and find it appalling that they haven't even given a telephone call!

We moved to York last October and have both found the service from the Rawcliffe Surgery exemplary. I had a medical issue that I now know I must have been living with for some time. It became more painful and I completed the online request for care on a Sunday evening. Before 9.15am on Monday Dr Darroch-Thompson had called me and after listening to my problem arranged a same day appointment. When she saw me she listened carefully to my symptom description, gave me an extremely thorough exam and diagnosed the issue. Since then the follow up care, messages etc has been amazing and well beyond anything I've experienced with previous doctors. My partner has also had a similarly great experience.

Expecting a phone call, left in a state of chronic bleeding for over a week. Gets to 16:45 of the day of the scheduled phone call, I text message the automated service to find my case has been closed and told to ring. Can't ring because their IVR telephone system is rigged to hang up on you... Doctors won't even try ringing you more than once. It's pathetic, I literally know of minimum wage 16 year olds with more customer service skills. Looking to take legal action.
