Best music shop in Edinburgh since RedDog shut down as far as I'm aware. Nice selection of instruments and one of the best for books/other music related kit. Great and helpful staff too!

Great place with decent prices! The employee (Russell) saw me browsing and came over to let me know of a deal they had on the items I was looking at, and let me know how much my items would cost with the deal applied which was very helpful because my maths is terrible. This is the only store I know of in town that sells sheet music and they have a great collection of both classic and modern sheet music.

Don't go if you're a musician, or just into music and books, you gonna spend HOURS browsing through all of the amazing and great books they have there on literally any instrument, and you'll definitely spend all of your money there like I did. Oh and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful too.

This is my favourite music shop in the world. Usually music shop owner have a temperament behaviour towards potential customers because they are aware of how much their prices are not low. They do not permit many people to play the pianos but Not in Rae Macintosh. They allow you to play but obviously, unreasonable play will not be tolerated or could be advised on in remorse leading to your departure. That never happened to me but I saw it happen to others before and I understood why. They have a new Piano that can be operated with an iPad system like a computer but it's still clear and easy to use, it's the best piano for any type of Artist because it's fit for every occasion despite its size because it's the hugest one in the room. Thanks.
