I have been using this gym for a year and for the most part I have enjoyed the experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, the machines well maintained and the classes have been good. However I am disappointed this morning because the showers were not working when I went to use them after my work out. I am now going to have to do a full day's work having not showered after working out. I know this has happened before recently too. I usually use the gym before going to work so of this continues to happen it will become a big problem for me and I may have to find a different gym. Please get this sorted quickly PureGym. In reply to the comment below: this happened today, Sunday the 26th Jan so the problem has recurred. Also, a more adequate way to contact you with problems like this would be good and less public. I have used the "Leave Feedback" button on the app before but had no reply.

Great gym with a decent amount of both resistance machines and free weights. The new functional area looks pretty sweet. Clean and tidy throughout. Staff helpful and chatty, especially the manager Hollie - asset to the company!

5/ 5

Decent PureGym but rather busy, especially during term time. Best times are early morning through to early afternoon, and very late at night; you may struggle to find a bench outside these times. All the equipment you'd want and a very large studio to do bodyweight work.

2/ 5

Equipment is good, not too busy most of the time, and better than most gyms atmosphere in terms of friendliness. Big exception is the changing rooms. They smell absolutely awful; like a sewer. I use the men's, but my flatmate uses the women's and told me they had a similar stench. Visually they are usually quite clean, so it could be a plumbing problem. Whatever it is, this should be a high priority to fix.

Nice and clean. Good choice of equipment. Like the fact it's open 24 hours. Found the music a bit too loud. Lots of classes for free but not much of a description of what they involve or if suitable for beginners.

Its rare to find a gym with great communication, PTs that get to know you plus give a bit of guidance (highlighting Calvin) plus other gym goers who enjoy a quick catch up chat. Gym itself has all that's needed and kept clean and organised. Great job staff.
