Preston Baker – York york

Sophie Scott has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Due to her awful attitude I will never sell any of my future property through Preston Baker. I will continue to use Peter Moody, as his customer service is amazing. Helen (at Preston Baker) is one of most professional people I have met in Estate Agents, so Sophie's arrogance has let it down.

What a great provider of a personal service, not your typical estate agents, this is one with feeling and passion for the seller and buyer.

The experience as a tenant was very ok up to the point when we gave notice, when it seemed like the quality of the service changed, from having viewings at the property without notice and consent and also having the landlord around without notice and consent to now constantly having to chase for updates on the deposit, even though it's been a month since we vacated the property. We also participated in an event launch for a house where the fact that there was an asbestos garage on the property was not mentioned, which is a legal requirement, but also mislead as the dates for the end of the launch kept changing.

Good team, great service, cannot fault.

There wasn't one house that I viewed with Preston Baker that wasn't beautiful, and the price was great and in accordance with the quality. Even if I did not end up renting with them, I highly recommend Preston Baker in York. In particular, Helen Jollands is a top professional and person that will really care for the potential tenant/buyer and their needs, and Holly Stonehouse is another example of an agent that provides top-class service. This agency's professionalism went as far as to providing me with advice, even when I managed to find a house and take it off the market through another agency; they knew that as a new professional, I had struggled a lot with house hunting, and they did not hesitate to help and answer my questions. For all the above, and taking into consideration my experience with other agencies in York, I highly recommend Preston Baker. Had my final viewing with PB been earlier in dates than the one of the house that I happened to take out of the market at that time, I would be renting with Preston Baker now. Worth 5 stars.

I recently purchased a house through Preston Baker and dealt with Angela Williams. She is friendly and extremely professional, and kept me informed throughout the entire purchase. As a company they have always let our properties quickly. I can highly recommend.

Preston Baker were exceptionally good which justifies the relatively high commission costs. Angela was extremely helpful and organised the launch day very well, which resulted in a sale above the asking price within 3 days of the launch as they had predicted. The house though needing much renovation had great potential with original Art Deco features and in a brilliant location. Angela negotiated the sale for me and looked after the whole sale process extremely efficiently. She was very supportive and helped immensely at the end by involving the buyers, also extremely kind, in helping to clear and pack the contents of the house. Conveyance was through the recommended solicitors in Leeds, also very helpful but once again rather expensive with extra costs added from the initial quote. Overall extremely pleased with the help and support provided by Angela and Preston Baker.

Looked after really well by Angela. There was some difficulties/delays with this sales due to the sellers solicitors; Angela kept great communication with me throughout and she did a really good job of getting the other side to do what they needed to do so the sale could move along promptly. If it wasn’t for Angela’s interactions with the other side things would not have gone through as quickly or smoothly as they ended up doing. Great work highly recommend

Constant contact and sharing information. A very calm, professional and friendly approach. Moving is very stressful, they both helped immensely to defuse and reassure. Excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend others to use their service. Thank you for all your help

I just bought my first home through Preston and Baker, and would recommend them to other buyers: they are responsive and helpful, which is very important when you’re a first time buyer. Overall, the purchase progressed fairly smoothly, and I never felt like I was left on the back-burner at all.
