We had friends coming down from London for a birthday and the guys had booked a table package at Pam Pam - no prob. On the evening the Bristol side of the group arrived at Pam Pam before the London group so we went on in without the table as it wasn’t booked by us specifically, so we paid and got a drink etc. 30 minutes later the London group get through to us by phone to say they are being refused entry as they are all male ( we were a mixed group but we were already inside). The numbers given when the table was booked included us. Security would not listen to anyone or anything. Everyone ended up in gravity across the road who sectioned off a portion of their club last minute, got us a large table and a fab drinks package and we partied the night away in there and the club made a lot of money. Pam Pam on the other hand cost us a lot of fussing about all for nothing really, terrible service - won’t be returning.

If you like terrible music and expensive drinks it's the place for you. The bouncers strut around like they own the place not letting any male in if their shoes are anything but black while they wear the shirts and vests which frankly are a bit small for them. Not worth your time!

What a disaster. Booked a table but there was no table service. Later informed it was a cash only bar due to the card machine not working...management failed to think of an alternative such as retaining a card, allowing bank transfer etc. Left after 40 minutes having failed to get a single drink.

Has an archaic dress code, women have to wear heels and men (if they can actually get in) can't wear non luxury brands, and bouncers have a superiority complex when questioned why (a Q they couldn't actually give an answer for) . Acted as though they have the safety of women at heart not letting groups of men (unless they have women with them), but then let women walk home alone only to get a change of shoes and we also overheard a bouncer offering a group of girls entry if they did him a "favour. " But yeah, "women's safety." (Has to be said, one of the bouncers we spoke to was lovely and very understanding though) There's a really good reason it's the worst rated club in Bristol, much better places only a minute walk from here, but if you're looking for the most pretentious place in Bristol definitely go here.

Absolutely disgusted the way we were treated by the bouncers in Pam pams. With such a strict dress code, my boyfriend wore ‘smart joggers’ from Zara something I would accept at a wedding or any smart event (baring in mind, dress code is ‘smart casual’) (girls to ONLY wear heels or own enough money to fork out a fortune on a designer pair of trainers? If they wish to feel comfortable?!) ! But apparently this was unacceptable, therefore refused upon entry… until it was said we paid for a booth and then was allowed in. Through out the whole night he was completely discriminated for anything we did, for example, was told to get out because he was smoking in the smoking area, bouncer also told the person who gave my boyfriend a cigarette ‘’if he didn’t give him one he’d be kicked out too’’ A grown man was legit crying in my arms as he felt completely ganged upon therefore hugged him whilst on his lap, to which this was ‘unacceptable’ and was told to get off him. We paid for a booth with included 3 bottles of vodka, however hardly ANY mixers and never gave us a top up, this is where they make their money!. Unfortunately I will never step foot in that place again the way they treated us.
