Great , unusual venue , on a boat in Bristol ! Easy to get to , parking right outside , places to eat and drink nearby. Inside is quite small , maybe quite claustrophobic for some , with a decent size bar. Small balcony area for a better view if that's what you want ,looks over a very compact stage area. Generates a very good atmosphere though. Venue doubles up as a club some nights after gig hours.

Excellent venue. I had a great time at Gong and Ed Wynne's band gig here. The dance floor is relatively small so, although it gets packed, it feels cozy and close to the band in here. Plenty of spaces to sit down and chat with friends, too. Nice staff. Really look forward to upcoming gigs :)

Great night out. Cheap drinks and a cool vibe. Queues likely so get there early. Bare in mind that club nights have moved to 15 Small Street until summer 2019 (probably other events as well)

Saw Icarus. Sound and visuals good. Audience was buzzing. Friendly staff. Good selection of beer for a live music venue. Ship could do with a good clean, a lick of paint, and some updating throughout.

Cool club on the river itself... I mean it's on a boat which in itself is pretty cool let alone the design and style of the vessel itself. Great bars with a variety of drinks. Service was good, not overly expensive and good dancefloor options.

Review for concert- I'm not gonna lie I was surprised to find Thekla is a boat lol. I really wondered how we were meant to fit in there, but it's surprisingly well sized. As you come inside the guards will check your belongings which is a plus for safety. Not very wheelchair friendly or if you have mobility issues wouldn't recommend as you have to use the stairs to get everywhere. You can leave your belongings at the bar if you pay:) Staff are nice, it's a nice vibe and environment, I had so much fun, I would love to come here to club!

For a live gig venue the sound was terrible. I seen Crinkle Cuts last night (a seasoned Bristol band) and their sound sucked. The sound engineer did not do them justice. Two guitar players on stage and I couldn't hear either of them. Two brass players could barely be heard. Very underwhelming.

This club isn't checking that their clients are double vaccinated... I have solid proof of this. I know and understand they need the customers and its been been bad year but they need to follow the rules.
