Lovely old building, the staff are so friendly and professional. Made to actually feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Spotlessly cleaned and very comfortable. Get a Princes Street view room to make perfect.

Food nothing special. Four of us were crammed round a very small round table. Asked to be moved but didn't happen. Wouldn't hurry back. Far better places to eat in town.

Visited the city I was born in many moons ago. Took my wife again to visit the Xmas market which is always very popular internationally. The hotel is situated directly opposite the market which is in Princes Street Gardens.it was a bit windy but we still braved going on the big wheel, quite an experience when it is loading up & you stop at the highest point, a brilliant view but couldn't wait to get back on solid ground. As like last year it was German oriented & the Xmas goods are second to none. All the staff were very nice & the kids were all looked after very professionally.Another good day out.

Me and my daughter love here the reception staff and all staff are wonderful. We feel safe here. I brought my this who loved the hotel but found the doors on entrance to heavy and there is about small flights of steps to reception which you need to consider but there is a button at the foot of stairs and staff will help you up or take luggage. 5 stars service from us all

Spent Christmas at this lovely hotel in Ediburgh. For its price, it has one of the best and most accessible locations in the city: it's right by Princes Street and right in front of Waverley Station. It's only no more than 10min walk to the Royal Mile and the Nelson Monument, and even less to the lovely shops by George St. Our room was nice and cozy. The bed was a dream because it was soft and warm enough. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. The Spanish wait staff who served us during breakfast was very friendly. Breakfast is okay, not outstanding so for the following days we opted for coffee at the bar instead. The restaurant and the bar both have very lovely views of Princes St and beyond. TIP: if drinking tap water isn't your thing, bring bottled water since none is available at the room.

Very central location, we came for the Christmas market and it is right across the road. The restaurant is being renovated and no food is available, not too much of a problem as there are plenty of options to eat out. The room is clean with traditional decor that is not fussy. We have a view of Princes street and the ferris wheel. We do get noise from traffic etc. through most of the night but that is to be expected with the location.

Nice hotel although some parts are a bit tired. Window frames in our room need attention. Comfortable lounge but limited choice in bar. Unfortunately the kitchens were closed during our stay so had to eat out. Hotel is in a great location and would recommend a stay here 👌

Not a bad view from the room. Great location in the city. Staff was very friendly. The room it self was nice. A plug by the bed would of been nice to charge the phone but over all a good room. The kitchen was being refurbished so cannot comment on the food. But plenty of food in the city.
