Ocean Restaurant, Bolberry

Incredible team, food, love this spot! We went for my birthday dinner (locally caught fish was fantastic) & a few days later returned for a Veggie breakfast, coffees & more Prosecco. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the team couldn't have been more accommodating. Sam deserves a special mention - such a great /genuine / friendly guy. Best host! Anneliese was also brilliant with my various booking requests - they were busy! We'll be back next time we're in Devon.

We visited here twice whilst down on holiday. First time was a pit stop whilst on a coastal walk for a takeaway coffee and pastry, both delicious. We returned a couple of days later for breakfast, my husband had the full English and I had the veggie breakfast, both were delicious as were the iced coffees! The staff were also very friendly and attentive on both occasions. Fab views to go, will definitely be back if we're in the area again, just sad it's not on our doorstep!

We booked the day before,lunch at the Ocean after a walk,perfect way to finish.Believe me,the short wait after ordering was well worth it.My wife ordered mussels and I ordered fish and chips.My meal was fantastic but my wifes was superb.We can honestly say they are the best mussels we've had in this country.The two people out front deserve a big mention for being so relaxed and good under so much pressure.We were undecided on drinks so we were recommended local cider.Very good too.We will return and look forward to more wonderful food.

This is a beautiful place to take some refreshments after a walk along the coastal path. It was a glorious day the day we visited and our drinks were cool and refreshing and enjoyed even more due to its setting. We were able to sit outside and enjoyed cold drinks and icecream.

Had a lovely evening here. Quite spontaneous as we had been walking on Bolberry Down at sunset and popped in on the off- chance they could accommodate us.. We were given a very warm welcome along with our Jack Russell. The wood burner had been lit and the restaurant was warm and ambient . The team were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, our dog behaved and we had a super evening. It was our first visit but we hope to go regularly now we have discovered it.

The food at this restaurant is as good as the views. The quality is great and the staff is happy and attentive, the young lady serving us showed she took pride in her job and really wanted to make our night the best she could. If all restaurant staff were like this, every night out will be a success. The food was amazing, especially the fish dishes were great. The restaurant is located in a beautiful spot, great to go for a walk before or after to enjoy the coast of Devon. I do recommend Ocean, a great place we will come back to!

Lovely tasty food and very friendly welcome in a relaxed and attractive place. Would have liked a few more items on the menu based around catch of the day. More my problem tho, with an allergy to mussels, so will return. Top experience was the brownie and biscoff 'heaven'.

Modern, clean lines in the restaurant, floor to ceiling glass to one wall, overlooking the view. Table seating available outside which on a spring or summers day would be fabulous. The coffee was wonderful and likewise the lemon slice.

John Dory with squid , calamari,and saffron potatoes in a delicious creamy sauce Dish of steamed fish with muscles king prawns and samphire Provided the most delicious lunch on the top of the cliffs with a panoramic view of the ocean. Service friendly and professional. Altogether excellent.
