Been there four times, each time I have found the admin and medical staff to be very professional, helpful and friendly, nice surroundings, downside being not central if you don't drive. The last time I visited New Hall I had a surgical procedure resulting in a three day stay in. All the staff from the housekeeping to the theatre acted very professionally and friendly, could not do enough for you to make your stay comfortable. Would totally recommend.

Left in windowless exam room for six hours pre op while they had two more goes at taking blood. No chance to go to my room, unpack my things, watch tv.Nurses didn’t even notice. Distressed in Recovery and told to stop upsetting other patients. Non stop building works.Very noisy due to elderly NHS patients having hips done, and inevitably confused and noisy. Asked for help washing due to tubes, drains etc.Told crossly that I was self caring !! Would assume having paid £5000 that five minutes of nursing care might be included. Place overstretched due to alleviating NHS waiting list, which means that staffing levels for fit elective patients aren’t adequate for older sicker people.

I am very exited to write this review. I was admitted a while ago for procedure which for a good reason didn't happened on that day. Firstly I was extremely upset, I was feeling like my life is turning up side down again, especially if is a life lived with pain......but everyone was working in MY BEST interest. The whole team went above and beyond to sort out the problem as fast as they could. I had my surgery and happily recovering now. Every person I've met in the hospital put the patient's comfort and needs at first. Nice, clean and friendly, I have my faith in medical care back again. I would happily recommend New Hall Hospital to anyone! You all have a special place in my heart! BIG BIG Thank you!

Rather provincial and hostile attitude to international patients with expatriate/international health insurance. Best to opt for a big name private healthcare provider like BMI who know their stuff. In the end I opted for Spire Southampton, far less suspicious of expatriate health insurance, at least far more willing to help.

Mine was a spinal operation. I'm 75 and a NHS patient and the experience for me was really good, seeing the pandemic is still going. The room was lovely, the food was amazing, my view was trees instead of buildings, being in the New Forest. The staff were kind and caring. It is now 4 weeks since my operation and I was told 6 weeks recuperation The wound has healed, I am now standing up straight and am walking unaided and without a limp. Thank you Mr Davies.

I only once thought highly of Newhall ( main hospital) Mr Carty , but Ramsey has left me disappointed, I received a copy of letter that my gp didn't recieve so I shared mine , Mr Dabke was going to be asked to ring me back , still waiting ...how a consultant can undermine a gp referral puzzles me ...wondering if good manners is lacking ?

1/ 5

The hospital has ruined my chances of walking again. A consultant made an amateur mistake and refused to operate, he was proved wrong by members of his own staff but wasn't man enough to apologise. He is the most obnoxious, rude and judgemental person I've had the misfortune to meet. Adding insult to injury the hospital lied and covered for him. They close ranks but I am going to get an apology for the consultant's abusive neglect of me. I will never be silenced, my name is John Turner and I'm in the phone book in Lymington. I welcome your call if you were mistreated. I know some people wouldn't want the hassle but I believe in the truth, I will publicly name and shame all involved. My case is currently being investigated by the Care quality commission and the GMC will be investigating the abuse I had from the consultant. Every name will be mentioned. I should be at work by now but I'm worse off than when I went in. Don't be fooled by brochures they are corrupt. UPDATE Not only has my mobility been robbed but now I've been threatened by Ramsay health solicitors simply because I told the truth in my review. I will never back down from bullies. My review is 100% truthful and I know they get a lot of complaints form patients who have been mistreated. You can check New Hall hospital NHS complaints website to see their shocking record. This place is not fit to treat some patients. I have reported my concerns to the Care Quality Commission who thanked me for reporting and bringing it to their attention. The hospital even had my surgeons General Medical Council wrong and incomplete. I had to inform the hospital about the mistake as the surgeon wasn't showing up on the GMC register. The hospital are so interested in money that patient care comes a very poor second. They will give a half hearted apology but word the apology so as not to incriminate themselves. I will always tell the truth about what happened to me at New Hall hospital and their abuse and neglect of me despite threats of legal action. If they try to bully me into silence I will push back harder. If other patients have been threatened by the legal team for telling the truth please don't worry, if you tell the truth the legal threats are useless but they will try tactics to wriggle out of taking responsibility for the actions of staff. I have proof in writing and every email that not only is my story true but in the hospital's desperation the staff have managed to contradict each other.
