We visited on a cold Saturday lunchtime during the ice trail event in York so although the cafe was very busy the staff were attentive and friendly and managed to secure us a table. The pot of Yorkshire tea was lovely, nice and hot and plenty for two. We enjoyed the home made roasted vegetable soup accompanied with brown bread. Prices are very good for the centre of York, we will definitely go back.

I've had to put 3 stars due to several reasons. On the plus side it's located in an antique shop which is a great place... the tea room is smallish but accommodating for all . The staff however got not only our order but others wrong.. wrong drink wrong food.if you can't get that right it's a bit worrying. A little over priced to, but cushioned with a 10 % discount from a voucher. OK portions though .
