This was our first visit to this restaurant but it won't be our last. Lovely place! The right amount of tables for a good atmosphere, it was nice not being squashed into the space. Fantastic quality of produce, cooked perfectly and excellent service. All you need for a great evening out.

I was really looking forward to some lovely steak and wine with family who I'd not seen in months, from a well reviewed & established restaurant. However, that was not what I experienced. The 4 steaks that were ordered were all cold & tough. We let the waiter know and there was no apology, just a simple 'okay, we'll take them back' as if this was a regular occurence. When they brought the steaks back, they were clearly just 'heated up' as the plates were hot to the touch but steaks now lukewarm and even tougher to cut. 2/4 diners managed to politely eat their steak whilst the other two had their uneaten steaks taken off the bill - a hint off an apology wasn't given till the bill was requested and 12oz steaks were visibly untouched. I was really disappointed in this experience. The seafood had by the other diners was excellent but for a Steak & Seafood joint, they really struggled with a simple rump steak. Mistakes happen and I can totally understand that IF the waiters show some customer service/compassion but in this case, that did not happen. I hope it was just an off night for the restaurant as I've heard great things previously!

We had the 'express lunch' . Three courses for £9.95 was an absolute bargain. The food was beautiful and the portion size more than adequate. Lovely ambience , the front of house was so welcoming and the accompanying wine was very good indeed.
