Even though the food was prepared, instructions were clear and precise we still could not fully appreciate what you do. You are artists who do not receive the praise you deserve for your ideas and flare. You made our New Year very special and unique and we applaud you. highly recommend this place

Very first time that I had the privilege to eat at a Michelin Star restaurant and it was so wonderful, I'll never forget it. The food was cooked right in front of us, it was smelling delicious and tasted even better. Thank you to the staff to also make us feel so welcome!

Having never been to a high end restaurant and thanks to a voucher from a family member we were excited about our reservation. The whole experience from start to finish was perfection . The lunch time taster menu in flavour and presentation was sublime.. The wine pairing was amazing. Our time there was worth every single penny and we will be saving up for the evening service. Thank you to Mana for an unforgettable experience one that we didn't want to end.

We had a beautiful meal last week which was our first time eating out since March. Staff were lovely, everything had been thought of in advance. It felt very safe with current restrictions. The food is sublime. I can’t even pick a favourite course there were so many good ones.

Visited shortly after lockdown and quickly understood the Michelin star status. Food was amazing as was service and atmosphere. Will be returning very soon! All dishes well cooked and presented, plus an excellent range beers from Cloudwater brewery. Simon Martin couldn’t do enough, even giving us extra of a particular dish we were enjoying.

I don't know how this place is worth anything less than 5 stars! I will be the first to say I am more comfortable eating a pub lunch than fine dining, but I will happily say this is the best meal/experience I have ever had!!! It's worth every penny, even if I could have had a weekend city break abroad for the same price. Simon (Martin) personally made sure the fish courses were not too fishy (I'm not a fan of seafood but they champion British seafood so he wanted to show off what the UK has to offer, offering the vegetarian option based on my feedback). On top of that, the wine flight was perfectly matched. What really made it for me was the bread sauce and bread course. After a duck and the best bread sauce I have ever tasted (I'm sure there is a fancier term for duck and bread sauce), I was given some more bread sauce and some amazing bread to mop up. So northern!!!! Long story short. It's the most money I have ever spent on a lunch, but I would do it again (next year some time) without blinking.

One of the best meals we've ever had, if not the best. A lot of thought and effort went into the food and it showed. Worthy of it's Michelin star.

Sumptuous yet down to earth high end dining. Beautiful start to finish attention to detail and original flavours all centered around fermenting, earthiness and senses. Be prepared to be astounded with flavour combinations you'd never think of. Some of the mouthful courses are more than one bite. Can't fault this place. Need to book months in advance.

Just been today for lunchtime service, celebrating 25th wedding anniversary & were looking forward to this.......and we were not disappointed, absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Not stuffy and was lovely to see the kitchen so close & the brilliant team work. Was also so great to have the chefs bringing the food to your table, including the Chef Patron himself & explaining the ingredients & how they'd been prepared.....a magical experience & we will definitely recommend & go back, though with their waiting list that could be a bit of a wait.
