Really nice dining experience and definitely worth the money. I can imagine it being good for special occasions or celebrations but not for a casual dinner out. The staff were really attentive and just generally quite pleasant. There was a small mix up with our desserts which I didn’t think was worth mentioning - they noticed themselves and sorted the issue quickly without me having to even mention a thing. If I was even in Manchester again for a special occasion, this would be my first choice.

5/ 5

Definitely one of the best places on Manchester's dining scene. The staff are very welcoming and hospitable, waiting staff - particularly Ola - were outstanding and very professional. The sushi was tasty, fresh and inventive and the small plates were all beautifully presented, delicious and good value for money. Highly recommend.

The restaurant itself is very nice and the atmosphere is great for a date (there's even violinists). The food itself however is pretty average and you could get better and more authentic food in Chinatown for half the price although I did enjoy the dessert bento box. The cocktail I ordered was also overpowering. It was a fun experience visiting but I probably won't go again.

Great food and great place. Quite disappointed with the service on my last visit however. We had a table booked, yet when we arrived two staff members fumbled about looking worried, as if we hadn't been allocated a table for our time slot already. Once seated, service was very friendly but also very slow. The food also took ages to arrive. Give the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were understaffed both in waiting staff and in the kitchen. From here on though, the friendly service became slower and more disinterested. After a desert and cocktails, it was as if our waiter had disappeared. We were left sat as the rest of the restaurant slowly emptied. At one point I felt like we could easily get up and walk out without anyone batting an eye. After catching the eye of another waiter and asking for the bill, our waiter returned 15 minutes later, acknowledged that we wanted the bill and went to get it. As I say, the food was great and the atmosphere is nice down there, but when you're paying £150+ for a meal for two, I expect better service from start to finish.

Sue and I not only had the best food and drink but we had the best time at Australasia. From start to finish we had amazing cocktails, the tapas was sensational and our host was Anna. She was hilarious, she had such a lovely way about her and her knowledge of all the food, what it goes with and how its cooked was incredible. She made the whole experience fantastic. We can't wait to come back and bring others to share a guaranteed great experience.
