If you go inside you get access to a garden. Its free and on a good day there are many great walks for your dog if you are willing to explore a bit. You can walk for hours without seeing a sole. My mistake I later found out it is privately owned by a hotel chain and dog walkers in fact all walkers are not welcome unless they are customers. I was asked to leave by the hotel manager who followed me in to the car park and on leaving told me not to come back. It is such a shame that they can not allow walkers access to the 1000 acre estate they advertise on their website. I guess they just haven't got the space and are not willing to contribute to the local community. I will be thinking twice about becoming a customer in the future unless they decide to take a less churlish stance. Having said that I'm sure the facilities are fantastic if you are one of the lucky ones who can afford them.

What a fabulous evening! The hotel is beautiful and the food was delicious. Prices were really affordable given the 3 courses and the excellent quality of the dishes. A great choice for a special celebration 🍾
