As an LGBTQ+ Asylum seeker, Lupins Law took on my case a week before I was due for a second interview with the Home Office and allocated it to Ruth Karimatsenga, the Supervisor Solicitor. Her reception was second to none. I met her for the first time, the day before I was due to attend this assessment interview. She was attentive, very professional, detailed and thorough in reviewing my case from the word "go". Her confidence reassured me that I was finally in good and relevant counsel for my type of case. Instead of dwelling on the admin procedures of a first meeting with a solicitor, she proceeded to prepare me for my interview for the following day. She took time to inform me on what to expect and how to present myself and we went through a practise interview at the same time. IT WAS AMAZING WHAT SHE ACHIEVED OUT OF ME IN THAT FIRST MEETING. Before then, I did not think I would be able say anything for myself. I left that meeting fully aware of what to expect, how to present my case and how we are going to proceed dependant on the outcome of my interview. Post my 7 hour interview and prior to any decision being made, Ruth Karimatsenga reviewed my recorded interview and took it upon herself to help me gather further evidence to support my claim. She made herself available for any queries and concerns I had at all times, even after hours. I was more than impressed with how much she was so immersed into my case and how much she asked out of me. With all the evidence she requested from me and all my witnesses, she managed to make us work as a team, and this was literally what I did not expect from any solicitor. DEAR READERS! WHEN RUTH KARIMATSENGA WAS DONE WITH MY CASE, AFTER TWO WEEKS WE RECEIVED A DECISION. I WAS GRANTED ASYLUM. Even today, I am still in shock. As daunting as an asylum application procedure can be, it was so exhilarating and comforting to work with, not just a solicitor, but someone who cares. Someone who, not only can JUSTLY represent you and your case but also knows the law and your rights. RUTH CERTAINLY DOES NOT WORK IN HALF MEASURES! I had such an amazing journey in this matter with Ruth, her team and at Lupins Law. I am forever grateful beyond any expression I could possibly master. You changed my life for the better, and further more I will never forget in my last meeting with Ruth, she told me : "Go out there and start living your life and achieve the best out of yourself that you promised me".
