I visited The Waterfront a couple of Saturdays ago. I went in due to it looking quite busy and an thought I would give something new a try. I ordered some food - of which I was very excited about as it was a mixture of most of my favourite foods - and was enticed by the platter that arrived at the table of the person next to me. When I received my platter, it looked meek and it was missing a few items. I didn't pay any less, nor was a reason given for such a thing to have happened, but I was with my elderly Mother and didn't want to cause a scene. Overall nice front of house service with a nice selection of drinks, but let down by the quality and quantity of the food.

The service was friendly and very efficient. Had the best steak and ale pie ever. Beautifully cooked, the meat being the best of quality. Ample portions and reasonably priced. Would I find these again? Most definitely.

Cute little pub and restaurant on the waterfront. We just went in the drinks on a Saturday night and there didn't appear to be any dining available that night. It was rather quiet which we didn't mind but we did think it was unusual for a Saturday. Last orders was called at 9pm too! Would still go again, staff were nice too :)

I wasn't impressed - some of that might have been my own fault for booking the 'interior' room (i.e. it had not outside view). But although the room looked modern it wasn't maintained and had to complain about broken bed slats on the very low bed, leaking shower and wobbly tap (they fixed it on the second day - which was great, but you really shouldn't need to ask). The bathroom (which was very nice to look at) also didn't have proper extraction so the room because very humid. I think next time I just stick with a chain hotel - which I try not too when I can - but this experiences reminds me what that is a good idea. Standards.
