I love go outdoors and there's a man in the oxford store who has fixed my tent before and that was excellent service from him and today I went in for hiking boots and I've got bad foot problems and the same man was excellent and helpful. I give 10/10 device the shop could do with updating but I'm happy

As a building it's terrible, wrong location and it's outdated, but once you look past that the staff are friendly, yes there could be more but with how much online has taken over you can't have 30 members of staff, the ones you do find tend to be trained or at least know another that they will get, no question is too big or goes unanswered. Some areas like the footwear "box" area is small but the staff will shoot of to try and find what you are after (it's a little bit of an odd ball of a store). Upstairs there is lots of well stocked shelves and usually only 1 person running around but they know about all the products and if they can't answer they get this guy (who seems to be everywhere) and he answers with great knowledge. All in all the staff and products are amazing just a shame you have to look past the facts that the carpark is horrible, the building is in the middle of nowhere with little advertising, the inside of the building is out dated and cramped, oh and don't mention the website.

Very helpful when i went in to buy an airbed. I was unsure what to go for and the two men i spoke to were very knowledgeable and gave good advice. I was happy they didn't just try to sell me the most expensive item. Thank you.

Jacket sizes are mostly small or XXL. Most people are m l or XL so that's not very useful. Staff members think large women's shoe sizes are out of stock but they're not, they are just on display. Why don't staff know this? One of the mirrors is disgustingly dirty. Some items are in the wrong place on the shelf causing confusion over prices. Some staff members need to more mindful of their personal hygiene; deodorants aren't expensive, or difficult and time consuming to use. Some staff get in the way when using the mirror when they are helping another customer, quite inconsiderate. Annoying annual £5 membership card to get better prices and even then they aren't as competitive as online. So despite the moaning it's an ok shop but has some issues.

I went upstairs to look at the backpacks again. Last time I was here I stood and listened for more than half an hour while someone explained about the backpacks to another customer. Now I had to act. The backpack I have has totally disintegrated on the inside, so time for a new one and the sale was on. First I was approached by Liam, who was very kind and polite but admitted he wasn't an expert on backpacks. He then got his colleague Adam to help me. He was brilliant at it, let me try on different Osprey ones. I had my eye on the Ariel type because my nephew is called Ariel and that would be so nice for him but that backpack was a medium and felt a bit too big. But the Aura felt just right, so I bought that. I am very happy with my choice and excitingly looking forward to using it in the great outdoors soon.

A little crowed for my liking. It really could do with an update. Needs more light as it's a little dark inside. Plenty of offers good selection of clothing and camping gear plus this also has a campsite on its doorstep.

Wonderful, I am an irregular customer, however I will continue to buy from here. Shopping for shoe insoles (oh yeah, I know how to live) and facing a significant variety of options, I think my hesitancy must have drawn over the assistant (I didn't get his name) who clearly explained how each type was intended to help, which in turn sped up my decision, and so to that assistant I am certainly grateful.

The staff on the shop floor were really helpful and friendly and made the experience really nice. Unfortunately the person who was on the check out was completely the opposite did not engage with us, was rude and more interested on what her pal was doing on the next till. Along as you don't get this person your experience will be good.
