We sat in for a meal rather than use the takeaway service, food was very nice and didn't take too long to cook and bring to the table. Visited this place twice while visiting York and we were very happy both times.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Our food was initially 20 mins late; when we called to check where it was, the lady on the phone said it would be there in 10 mins. However, we hadn't even said where we lived so she couldn't have known which order it was. When challenged, she hung up on us. The driver tried to charge us more than advertised (The price before the 20% discount). The order was partially wrong and we were missing food! I kept ringing back and asking for the rest of our order, and the lady said to call back tomorrow when the manager was in and the missing food could be delivered tomorrow?! . She then asked for us to call back in an hour, but by that point our food would be cold!!! Bear in mind, this took place over several calls off several mobiles, as the lady kept hanging up on me and not answering the phone to any mobile numbers I'd previously called from. The service was atrocious and they owe us money for the missing food which, let's face it, we are never going to see. Totally shocking place. Don't bother

Good food, the korma could have had a bit more flavour as it was a tad bland but the butter chicken was perfect :) the prices are a little higher than we are used to but that could be the norm in York? And we would rather pay a bit more and get a decent meal than it be cheap and nasty anyway. Also the staff were very polite which makes a big difference these days, if we return to York we will visit again :)

Hotel does not exist anymore. Please do remove from trip advisor or any google suggestions. Totally annoyed. Place does not exist to give review .. lol seems funny!

--- STAY AWAY FROM HERE --- The service was dreadful. It took far too long for the ONE member of staff to take our order, bring our order and then bring the bill - we were here for 2 hours waiting with only a main course with rice/naan. Upon showing my Tastecard which provides 241 on all mains the member of staff told me I would only receive 10% off from the bill and not the 241 as advertised. He then started aggressively shouting at me in the restaurant as I disputed this and showed him the deal that the advertise. I left and I will never return. I will be reporting this restaurant to Tastecard for their false and misleading practices. I would not bother to make a negative review unless I had reason to do so. I would recommend to stay away from this restaurant for I have had multiple experiences here where I have left feeling very disappointed - and this will be the last time I return.

Hubby and I thought the Indian Food was great. The warm hand wipes after we finished eating was a nice touch. We are passing through - but if we were staying we would go again.
