The team at Feitherstone Leigh in Richmond might have saved me more money than I think. As a recent arrival in the UK and with two cats, I had a horrible time trying to find a home. Once I had signed a contract with another lettings agency and landlord, I got a cancellation just 2 hours before moving which entirely broke my plans. No reason was given other than the landlord wanted to backed out (so apparently the other agency lied to us and the landlord never signed)
That very same afternoon we went to visit a property in Richmond. We got greeted in time and we had the usual tour of the location. Immediately decided to put down an offer. We explained what happened to us to the property presenter and we felt there was actual empathy from her.
That very same night they got to work and our offer was accepted. Next day we began the reference check process which was the biggest bottleneck. It only lasted 3 working days but you can imagine we tried to do our best to move as soon as possible, as paying for a pet friendly hotel was damaging to our budget.
We finally moved the following friday, so it was 6 full working days (9 calendar days) to move into the property.
Etienne Villalobos was in charge of our case and he demonstrated interest every single day, and had to put up with our impatience. We did not know if we could trust Feitherstone Leigh so we had to be pushy.
Now we live in a beautiful 2 flat maisonette in the middle of Richmond downtown, one block away from the station, surrounded by shops, and super close to the Thames. The flat is beautiful, in well shape, all wooden floors, and they had no issues accepting our 2 pets.
Things happen for a reason. Thanks to getting cancelled on the other property, we got to know this one from FL that was vastly superior and much bigger, in an excellent area.
Etienne continued to show interest and help us in whatever we needed after we started our tenancy.
The property management team usually takes a day or two to reply our requests. We did notify them of several small issues we found and they approved the fixes.
Overall content with the experience and I hope that we have an excellent year. Thanks to FL Richmond, Etienne, Melanie and the rest of the team for helping us when we needed it the most.
