We came into Dawson's today to look at several instruments including drum kits and guitars. We were allowed to play the drums without any fuss and asked for drum sticks etc and were polite and respectful at all times. We then went upstairs to the guitar section, which by the way was UNMANNED. There was no one upstairs to ask about having a go with the instruments. Since it was okay to play the drums, I presumed I was also okay to play the guitar. I took a guitar, started playing and singing along, and a store employee came upstairs and said "are you buying that or just pissing around with it." I stopped playing. The guy then said "someone will buy that, stop pissing around or get out." Absolutely rude experience from store employees. Especially the one guy who embarrassed me in the middle of the shop. They're never having my money. I will never be attending Dawson's again. Unfortunately I can't rate them 0 stars but I would if I could. Rudeness is never the answer.

Staff were disrespectful and rude. I’m a professional guitarist and I saw a guy start to play a ukelele they had on stock with the intention of purchasing it. He was playing it quietly and respectfully when He was aggressively told to stop messing about and get out by a member of staff. I was incredibly taken aback with the manner and tone he was spoken to in. 100% will not be shopping at Dawson’s again. I will take my business elsewhere

Can't give zero starts unfortunately this store sold me a Martin guitar on August 14th 2019 withing a month I was phoning them up as there was abuzz this was coming from the neck I didn't have time until the begin of Dec to take them it I was told 10 repair time and giving Christmas though I don't mind waiting little longer as I need my instrument for work as I'm a professional musician so when I handed them guitar to get fixed I bought another took it home and realised there face of the guitar had cracks in it I took it nCj the following day and nearly got an apology near in mind this is two major mistakes one a Martin should be giving me problems withing a month not a brand new one and two an extremely faulty guitar, so I used my spare until the second of Jan when I eventually managed to get my instrument back with the assurance that it had been sorted, it is now 18th of Feb and I've changed the strings and the bridge that was supposed to be fixed has fallen out utter disgrace now on closer inspection I see frett have alot of wear and tear on frett I don't even use and marks on the guitar that were not there before it went in, I will be contacting the Martin brand directly after leaving this post but I woukd advise anyone not to buy from this store without being very very careful of what they are giving you and of what they are doing for you I was assure it was a Martin tech that looked at it personally seems like an idiot has in my opinion problem after problem all form your store sad thing is I'm a professional musician who would spend alot of money on instruments every year to off set tax I will also be contacting trading standards as this is a compete joke
