The best hairdresser in Brighton! Fabio has cut my hair for years and he's fantastic. He is a genius with the scissors and I often receive comments on how fabulous my hair looks...even from strangers. High recommended!

My stylist shaved my 18inches of hair off and left me a beautiful undercut. I now feel liberated and love my new style. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. Many thanks to all.

Best hairdressers ever! I've been going back for about four years now, which is the longest I've ever had one hairdresser for. I completely trust Fabio to give me amazing cuts that work with my natural hair type and fit with the style I'm after. He's always clear about what is achievable and would suit me. The space itself is lovely and clean and all the staff their are really welcoming and helpful. Can't recommend it enough!

I've been here a couple of times and each time got a cut that didn't sit well with my hair , both times I've had to cut again myself and then go to another hairdresser , I thunk it depends who you happen to get cut it so maybe I got the worst stylist. I'm happy that they use cm vegab products but the last cut I got was around £60 and was very unflattering on my hair type and as I said I practically had to cut parts myself straight after , the stylist I got was also very awkward and didn't leave me feeling she knew what she was doing , it's a trendy salon in the laines so you also pay more for that but I would rather dance in the backstreets with cats.

Quite disappointed with my brief experience. I went to the Brighton salon a week ago to ask about getting my hair coloured. I was told I'd need to book a consult and have a patch test. I was more than happy to book said consult and was given date and time. A week later and I'm in for my consult and the person I was allocated to discuss my colour asks me what I want done. I explain about the 2 different colours in my hair; her response - do I want my hair cut at all because she's not as experienced with colour and can only cut?! Now I'm wondering why my consult for colour (I never mentioned a cut at all to the Receptionist the week before) was booked with someone who only does cuts? She says she'll see if there's someone available to talk to me as they'll have more experience. The next person comes up to me and again states she doesn't do colour but can give me a better idea as to what to expect. She tells me what she thinks / how she thinks it will work, but then tells me if I want to go ahead I need to book a consult with the colourist. This really annoyed me as this is what I believed I had done the first time around when I told the Receptionist I wanted my hair coloured... If I go back again it'll be my third time in the salon AND I still won't have actually had anything done to my hair, just booking appointments and having "consults."

I have curly hair and this was the first time in my life where I didn't need to wash my hair when I got home. My curls looked amazing!!I finally found someone who understands about curly hair. They listened to what I wanted and they gave me really good tips about how to maintain my hair healthy and how to bring my curls back to live! On the top of that they were super friendly and I had the best head massage! Highly recommended!

I’ve been struggling a lot recently with my mental health and therefore with looking after myself and my hair; so it was in a pretty awful state when I got to cuttlefish. But Jamie was so understanding and non-judgemental, I felt so much better for going. And of course he did a fabulous job of cutting and styling my hair as always- he works absolute wizardry on my curls. Would recommend to everyone

Went in wanting a drastically different hair style and had an appointment with Josie and was so so pleased with the outcome!!! She made my stevie nicks inspired hair dreams come true and for that I am loyal customer! They are all so lovely and welcoming, definitely recommend!

I absolutely love this hair salon. I initially went to cuttlefish as I saw they did curly hair specialist cuts. I've now had curly cuts a couple of times with Fabio and my hair has genuinely never looked better. I have also bought curly hair products from them as they sell them in non-plastic containers which I love. Highly recommend for anyone with curly hair
