An excellent restaurant in the Gonville Hotel. The food quality is first class, better than I have experienced in some Michelin starred establishments. The ambience is modern and very smart and still intimate and cosy. The service on our visit was immaculate with staff very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Service is reasonably formal and attentive without being stuffy or intrusive. Highly recommended for a visit.

Good food, but way overpriced. Service is bizarre, pacing of the menu is not correct. You get an appetiser before ordering (which is very awkward with the large menus on the table), we got our starter at the same time as our aperitif. There are much better restaurants in Cambridge for a better price. Would not recommend.

I drove up from London and ate here with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It's situated in an unexpected location on a fairly busy road, opposite a common. It's beautifully done inside and feels very plush. There was a beautiful vintage car parked outside which I think you can book for pick up and drop off. We didn't need to as we were staying locally at the University Arms. The evening was very special, the food was perfect. We even managed a full 3 courses just because it was all so delicious. Service was good. It was a perfect evening for a notable celebration. I would definitely recommend.

It was a wonderful night, filled with delicious food, great service and divine drinks! Would recommend going for a treat or a special occasion! We had a trio of duck and the tuna to start, it was so tasty! Both chose lamb for main, and for dessert: almond, apricot tart and cherry with mascarpone! Really enjoyed everything!

We had a lovely evening for a 30th birthday, food was delicious and the service was great. After having a very slight mishap, they more than made up for it. I will certainly be returning and recommending to others.

The atmosphere and service here can not be faulted, the cocktails are delicious and pretty much anything you could want they could serve.

One of the best restaurants in Cambridge. Very very good service. High quality food and wine. Priced to reflect what you get. I will definitely come back.

They try hard, and it's very posh and pretentious, but the food is just not great. I've been there a couple of times, and it always looks like they are trying their best, but objectively what's on your plate is average, unimaginative, and expensive.
