Took my laptop to them about 1.5 years ago. The person who carried out the work was a man with dreadlocks - extremely poor customer service, nobody updates you about anything and I constantly had to chase them.
Sonny apparently is never there, but what are the chances when I came to the shop he magically appears. But that doesn't matter either, don't you worry, he tends to hide in the back anyway to avoid customers, so don't bother calling for him; they all pretend that he is not there.
They charged me close to 300 pounds all in for apparently logicboard repair service and magsafe connector replacement. None of which was done, I had to take it back and then apparently it got fixed again - which it didn't. Gave up going back and forth in the end so just accepted the fact that the charger area still doesn't work and left it as that. Anyway, please read on if you are interested in how these crooks take advantage of people.
My macbook completely failed on me a few months ago, and I took it to the Apple Store yesterday, they said that they were surprised that it had even lasted considering the job was so poorly carried out. Stickers were left on the inside, there is a thin copper wire coming out of somewhere that's not supposed to be there, the magsafe connector replacement never happened, and the area which is supposed to protect the battery from overheating has had its adhesive removed, which I was told if the battery DID overheat, then no prizes for guessing what might've happened.
Considering the other reviews which I have read, they're bound to come back to me and say "it took you 1.5 years to write us a review, that's strange etc" but since they had reassured me multiple times that the laptop would be fine once I had handed the money over, I didn't bother wasting more time on this company and even go so far to write a review on them. But hey ho, look where I am now.
There's simply no need to cut corners for something like this, and I was even told at the Apple Store that they have overcharged me. Goes without saying, you get what you pay for, and I wouldn't even give this 1 star if I could. Please avoid, spend a bit more and get a proper service.
