5/ 5

I am a dentist, so understand how hard it is to run a really good health service. Claughton Doctors are very kind, compassionate and thorough. All the Doctors and nurses I have seen have been outstanding. I attended late (my fault) today, and they kindly organised for a nurse practitioner to see my daughter, who was very effective. Gaining appointments can be hard at any doctors surgery, but this practice is open 12 hours a day, and does some Saturdays. Beautiful clean premises also, thanks for your hard work.

I’ve been with this practice for over 30 years and can totally recommend it. Staff are always polite and helpful and the GP’s always listen to any concerns you may have. I’ve always been able to get an appointment on the same day if it’s an emergency and I like that you can book appointments and order repeat prescriptions online.

Thank you Di for taking call 20 minute before closing and letting me speak to my sister's Dr. Thank you Dr Wilson for seeing my sister out of hours and referring her to hospital. Everyone is so stretched these days and despite of this, you continued to help her. Thank You.

I agree with other reviewers, the reception staff may seem as if they are trying to be professional but are actually quite rude and discourteous, telling you they are very busy when you wouldn't be calling them if you didn't need something. We are all busy and some of us are ill and need a doctor or prescription! so please re-think your attitudes, trying being a little kinder and follow through on what your say you will do for someone. That said, the doctors seem good. Maybe it is just one or two of the receptionists that are giving the rest of them a bad name, but I always get that 'one or two'

I have now been in a queue for over an hour since 8 32, how many before me can possibly be in a queue for 1 minute as surgery only opens at 8 30. I'm still in queue at 9 39.

Receptionist staff have the worst attitudes I’ve ever encountered - not sure where their superiority complex comes from? Probably riding the “praise the nhs” wave for actual medical staff? As to how they’ve managed to remain employed is beyond me as ever negative review here refers to them, a shame as the actual medical staff are lovely. Sort it out.

Front of house is one of the most important positions within any organisation. Claughton medical centre have got some of the best and worse going. Unfortunately you get marked upon the worse. I don't mind I have to wait to speak to a Dr it is difficult times. However, Carol at Claughton on reception doesn't seem to understand that you the first voice I hear, a role like yours unfortunately requires empathy, cause if you haven't got any you shouldn't be front of house for a health care provider. I'm sat here obviously worried and distressed due to not feeling well and the first voice I keep hearing is Carol telling me how 100 people are on the waiting list. She obviously isn't dealing with the extra work load and used to a nice little breezy morning shift and since COVID has never had to deal with more than a few people at a time. Heres the deal though Carol, id show you empathy if you showed me it but instead you've made me feel like I shouldn't be bothering the Dr. Imagine if I was also being treated for mental health and say I didn't have a support network at home, and you guys were the only people I could reach out if ill? What happened to the "be kind" movement? Im lucky and I have a great network. Some people aren't though so just think of that before you slam the phone down Carol cause you're having a bad do due to it being busier than usual. Guess what, we all are. And im ill ans busy, just want some support from my Drs. Just think before being so unkind as it could be you on the end of that phone.

Great Doctors if you can get past the Gestapo manning the reception. The attitude of the reception team is disgusting.
