I cannot recommend Clarkson's enough! I commissioned a custom made engagement ring from them and, being new to custom jewelry, they helped to explain everything regarding different materials, styles, prices and various technical considerations. Dealing with them was simple whether in-store, via e-mail or telephone/SMS. The staff were always helpful and worked with me on designs to create a truly personalised ring better than the one I had initially imagined. In terms of price, they were extremely competitive. While you can undoubtedly find rings for cheaper elsewhere, a custom made ring is unique and I believe that the one I commissioned is undoubtedly worth every penny. As the ring was a surprise, I was unable to get my fiancée into the shop to accurately measure her ring size so the ring ended up being a little bit too small. However, we simply went back to Clarkson's and they resized it perfectly within only one day at no extra cost! They also urged us to come back whenever the ring needed polishing for a free polish and check-up. Both myself and my fiancée are over the moon with the results and cannot our experience in the slightest.

Miracle workers. I had to have my wedding band and engagement ring cut off for medical reasons and the doctor really butchered them (so badly that the three small diamonds fell out), but Keith was able to put the artist who made them to work on the repair with a warning that I might be able to tell they had been repaired. Well, he must think I have some amazing vision cause the repair is not visible, and the cost was so reasonable that insurance paid it with little hassle. Thank you, Keith. You and your artists are very special.

Some 33 years ago my then girlfriend and I visited Clarksons for an Engagement Ring, we didn't have a fortune to spend and were handled by the then Father of the current owner. We were treated as if we were an important client and came away with a lovely unusual designer ring. Since then we've had a wedding band, an eternity ring and a ring to celebrate 30 years of marriage, all made by them to fit to the engagement ring, with the end result giving the impression that my wife is wearing just one ring, fantastic. My wife will be 60 this year and I commissioned Clarksons to make a necklace pendant and earrings to match the original engagement ring, the result looks truly amazing. When I had the eternity ring made, Keith Clarkson, who is the son of the Gentleman we saw 33 years ago, recognised the engagement ring immediately and named the designer, that is what you call knowing your business and I would wager that there is not another Jeweller in Edinburgh who could claim such personal knowledge of their product. My experience in dealing with Mr Clarkson senior and Keith over 33 years has been a true pleasure, and it is wonderful to see a family business being run in such a professional and courteous manner, and as an owner of a successful business myself, I appreciate the style and class of Clarksons.
