Enjoyed this museum on a miserable Sunday afternoon. It was quirky and I learnt some fascinating information about Brighton's history. What really stood out for me was the Museum of Transology upstairs. I felt the exhibition was highly emotive and inspiring. I certainly agree that trans historiography is an essential element of human history and I'd really like to see this expanded.

I visited on a pleasant mid week May half term day with four of my children. The member of staff at the main desk was brilliant with my excited and lively kids which put my mind at ease before entering the museum and exhibitions. Luckily it wasn't too busy and we were able to spend time reading bits of interest at our leisure. The kids enjoyed the various hands on areas throughout, especially the different costume stations, skeleton puzzles in the archaeology exhibit and the self portrait part of the art galleries. We followed the free animal trail booklet which helped to keep them engaged as well. As a Brighton resident this was an excellent free day out and we spent around 90 minutes here but it could have been longer if the kids had been a bit calmer! On a practical note there is a lift to go upstairs which fitted our single mountain buggy, myself and 3 kids. There is also level access to a large toilet / baby changing area at the back of the building, there are also various places to sit on the way round.

Brighton Museum is a wonderful small museum with a most impressive opening gallery full of art deco wonders. Great place for kids, too. My latest visit was with a very intelligent and curious 7 year old who had a great time.

Saw the Wildlife Photo exhibit on Sunday. It was mesmerising the skill dedication and passion of the photographers is truly remarkable. The youngsters contributions was also very impressive.

Amazing collection of pieces from wide variety of different time periods. Very cheap for the quality of the displays and buying a ticket allows you access for the year. Great way to spend an afternoon would highly recommend.

Well worth the money entrance costs allow you to enter for 1 year on your tickets. Lots to see and very educational. Excellent service and clean and not over crowded 👍 worth every penny.

A beautiful old building with itself beautiful features. The exhibits were interesting very well displayed and enjoyable to walk around. They also had a great David Bowie feature exhibition which was enjoyable.

It's wonderful that we can keep these treasures going. Beautiful and very informative. Highly recommended.

The Bowie exhibition took me on an impromptu walk down memory lane. Very quiet when I went on a Friday afternoon after meeting a friend for Christmas lunch. I found my spirits lifted by humming the tunes of my impressionable youth.
