Truely excellent place to visit if you have an interest in old toys and their history which I enjoy. Go under the station in Brighton for an experience that is really an eye opener for all the family of how toys can help stretch a child's imagination instead of spending time on a game player?

A fantastic place to see all the toys and two great railway layouts with antique trains. Check to see if the trains are running as they only run on certain days because of their age

Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff, for a small museum it it packed full of collection. I enjoyed the 10p machines that allowed us to see how the puppet show worked, a toy house rotating, a magic trick. The model train worked by pressing a button, it ran from one room to another. Lots of great quality toys that I remember playing with as a child. There was an entrance fee which was about£6 per person but it's well worth it. There is a trail for children, once completed they receive a certificate. There is a small gift shop. I bought a pen and a fridge magnet. Highly recommend a visit.

A wonderful little museum. Small but packed with lots of interesting toys from the late 19th century until the 1960s. It's so nice that places like this exist to keep our history alive.
