I was thinking of going here on my boat, but it isn't really possible to climb on the abandoned pier. If you have a boat and want to see an abandoned pier head I would recommend Herne Bay instead.

Lovely to paddle up to. Saw some black storks sitting on top and also some people fishing round the back off their paddleboards which looked dreamy. Be safe, follow the signage and don't do anything stupid :)
