The staff are pleasant enough but my experience of the Pharmacy is really frustrating. They have often forgotten to order my repeat prescription in time, and a couple of times they have suggested I go round to the doctors to collect it myself - which surely defeats the object of signing up to a repeat prescription service. There is usually a long wait to collect prescriptions, while staff seem to be playing catch-up with other peoples’ orders, and you can’t get through on the phone at all. Perhaps they are short-staffed, in which case I am sorry for the staff who are doing their best, but they need to address this as I will be taking my custom elsewhere as a result.

The Abingdon store does carry a good variety of items but as far as the pharmacy is concerned, due to a bad lack of staff, unless you arrive before 9:30 or after 4:30 prepare for a long wait. As for getting them to answer the phone in that department, its the same. On the 2 most important services they are poor I'm afraid.

I can tolerate only one brand of migraine tablet but even though they have notes on my record with this information on their system they continually give me the incorrect brand. Very disappointing service for such an otherwise excellent shop.

Best pharmacy in Abingdon. I've witnessed the staff stay down to earth and helpful even when dealing with challenging customers. They are incredibly reliable- I always know when my prescription is ready as I revcieve a text so never have to wait longer than I need to. They are clearly trying their best with such a heavy workload. Well done guys.

The pharmacy counter is THE worst of any Boots I've ever been to. Staff are casually faffing around at the 'regular' tills, staff slowly stocking shelves on the shop floor, whilst not a single person serves behind the Pharmacy counter. Staff could see me standing, waiting for an assistant and just casually went about their business. Stood there for a full ten minutes, and walked out. The poor people queuing for their prescriptions are there for an eternity. Absolutely disgraceful management, availability and attitude of staff.

The prescription service is appalling! Been using Boots for years but their standards are dropping. I always leave at least a week from my prescription being sent over and picking it up to allow time for them to order anything they may not have. The past year they haven't been getting any of mine or my partners meds ready until I go in and ask to pick them up! They have been sending texts to say they are ready but they are not! I have had to wait hours for a few items and always end up doing multiple visits for one scrips because it isn't ready, items are missing and they have given an owning slip and more worrying they haven't put some important meds in and haven't bothered to tell us till we chase them up and even though we have proof that it has been sent to them they deny ever getting the request! Always check all your medicines are there! I have now moved because I am just sick of the slow poor service and missing items.

What a fantastic experience. The optometrist I saw fantastic. He really took the time to explain everything to me. The women at the front were so helpful and sweet! One of them even took off her own glass (and sanitised them) so I could try them on as I loved them and they didn't have any in stock in the store. She was so lovely. I was really very impressed and would 100% visit this store again, even though I have other Boots Optometrists closer, it's worth the drive.
