My elderly mum went to this optician in February this year to have her eyes tested and to order her glasses. She's been back numerous times only to be told that a glasses were still not ready. Eventually she demanded a refund as her glasses and eye test work paid upfront which was given. Her eyesight has deteriorated rapidly throughout this period. It was only until she went to Specsavers along the same road who managed to give her an eye test in organised her glasses within days that she was told she has cataracts. Please don't use as optician. God knows what would have happened if Mum left it any longer. She's been a loyal customer for years to Boots Opticians in Boundary Road and was using them in good faith. It's now June.

It used to be a good place to go and have your eyes tested. Last year or so, really gone downhill.

It used to be a good place to go and have your eyes tested. Last year or so, really gone downhill. No regular optician doing the tests, and a general downhill feeling. Very dirty, between clients the person testing your eyes(and touching your eyes!) never washes his hands, or neither does he now wipes with a wipe where you rest your chin( they used to) a bit the attitude that they couldn`t care less. The floor looks very dirty, the chair sometimes so dirty, one time the chair was soiled and the optician wiped it and proceeded to test my eyes without washing his hands. Regardless of having booked appointment, always have to wait for ages.
