i don’t know why this surgery has such bad reviews. i’ve had two appointments there now and the experiences have been fine. reception staff are friendly and don’t faff around. there was about a twenty minute wait before both my appointments but you’d get that anywhere. i had dr Lee, she listened and talk through my options. i was treated with respect. The nurse on my blood test was very nice, understanding and quick. overall a good surgery to go to.

Very rude and dismissive GP (Dr Bush?). Telephone appt offered. I explained that I have a family history of heart disease (father died at 50), I have pain in chest, positive bloods for autoimmune rheumatic disease, i am experiencing palpitations. I also mentioned that my smart watch is showing my resting heart rate dropping over the last few days to below 40 BPM. His response was to tell me I had nothing to worry about and I cant base anything on what my watch says (not the only risk factor here!), but I can book in to have an ECG if I want to. He told me that he has other people who want to speak to him urgently. I spoke to another GP from a different practice the same day who told me that slow heart rate and palpitations should not be ignored and that I should go to A&E immediately to be checked over. If i can find an alternative Surgery to go to I most definitely will. Kimberly Waller.

Ridiculous! Went there to get referral for the specialist, recently I have moved houses so provided my new address, all I got from them was a “f you” letter saying that are terminating our relationship. No notice, no referral, just that.

Can't fault reception-Always were friendly, helpful and efficient and do well when they are so busy. The nursing staff were always the same... Good assets to the surgery, and truly professional at all times. My fundamental concern is that after 27 years of being on the same medicine and a healthcare professional myself, the supply quantity of my medicine on repeat was cut by half. I had the original quantity to ensure continued supply between blood tests and being able to get appointments. This flexibility allowed continued medication at all times. The surgery, the only one in 27 years cited national guidelines and that there may have been an slight over supply and this was a correction. There was a requirement to have a blood test every three months and I had one three months previously and one was in my diary. All of this was done WITHOUT my consultation. The surgery should be aware that some patients know more about their treatment than they realise and must engage about any change. If I was busy and not able to get off work or the surgery had no appointments exactly at the right time, I may have run out...the medicine I am on you DO NOT stop (without sound clinical reason).... I'm glad I had the co-operation over the last 27 years of many patient focused surgeries. This was a blatant disregard to a patient and I don't have to put up with it. I as a healthcare professional know the medical aspects of my treatment inside and out. I immediately removed myself from the surgery and now thankfully have one that understands and has continued the arrangement. I would suggest respectfully that a full patient focus audit is conducted and applied to bring them in line with the requirements for G.P surgery healthcare.

Dont use the docs very often but......Been here since Dr Barley ran it extremely well over 30 years until he retired in early 2000's. Now, terrible surgery, rude uncaring receptionist, GP dismissive and rude. Odd opening hours, can't get an appointment for over a week, medication never reviewed along with no offer of an over 40's check as in late 40's. Getting a flu jab non existent having been told to call back on a weekly basis. Information not up to date. Prescriptions always late and blames the pharmacy. Got told they have been in special measures for quite some time, what a surprise. Avoid surgery at all costs. Moving soon to a better GP.

Despite going through all the required hoops to get my friend signed up as a medical advocate they actively blocked access and treatment for me. They added extra requirements not listed in their instructions or needed by NHS standards and made my condition worse through the aggravation this caused. AVOID THIS SURGERY.

I have been with this GP practice for over 30 years, I very rarely have to go to the Dr's but when I do, every time I speak with a certain Dr everything I say is dismissed, they are abrupt and speak as if I'm wasting their time. On 2 previous occasions things I've raised that have been palmed off as nothing have resulted in emergency surgeries for infections. Whilst I appreciate the last 12 months have been challenging. There is a complete lack of compassion and care

This is not my usual Dr's, however since my GP surgery is taking over the phone appointments I have spoken to one of the Dr's at this surgery twice over the past year. Both times have been horrible. They dismiss everything you say and speak to you as though you are a waste of their time. You have to push to actually be heard. Absolutely no compassion for the patients whatsoever.
