Recently switched gyms and moved to Bannatyne. The gym offers a variety of training options including an indoor pool, functional training area with kettle bells, sand bags, battle rope, rings etc, spinning area, weights and instruments area and a room for classes. Three levels that utilise the relatively small space in the city centre building very efficiently. The staff is polite and helpful. All in all 5/5 stars.

(Covid review) Clean, well organised and managed to deal with Covid guidelines. Additional hygiene stations provided for equipment cleaning. Masks to be worn when not exersising or moving around the gym. Some equipment out of use to allow social distancing. Feels safe. Currently not all members have returned following outbreak so is quiet. (Pre Covid review) The Whitworth Street staff are really friendly and helpful. The facilities are generally clean and tidy. Changing facilities with showers and toilets are provided. There is a good selection of equipment for the size of the gym. There is also a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and swimming pool here. However there are quite a few issues... Changing room lockers are hard to come by a they are used for permanent member storage. At peak times between 17:00 and 19:30, there is often no free equipment with too many members in the gym. Being over 3 floors in an old building with no lift access, this is not a disabled friendly gym. Some excersise equipment could be better maintained with parts replaced when excessively worn. Water fountains have not produced chilled water in years! The new air conditioning is hit and miss, with temperatures all over the place! Generally too warm. The treadmills and other similar equipment are computer operated with big displays. Unfortunately, as their low spec computer is processing more adverts and branding, exersize has been given a back seat! These items of equipment are laggy and slow to respond to input. Operations take seconds to register, and continue for seconds after button or lever release. Finally, there are some members who think that someone else should clear their weights and sweat patches away!

Some arrogant Reese guy demanding I pay a month that I already paid for, talking to me like a child, forgot for a second who he is. Train your managers how to speak to customers, we're the ones paying your salary, or better yet give them a mop. Disgraceful and unprofessional. Shame cause the gym is nice and I was going to stay but after being talked to like that I'll just take my future membership to a gym that respects its customers. Avoid.

Gym is good, pool is small and extremely chlorinated, changing rooms are cold and damp, showers are not cleaned frequently enough, lockers are good and modern. Bad communications - you never know if the pool or sauna is closed for maintenance/repair until you enter the place. I would not recommend the place mostly due to the predatory Terms & Conditions. If you wish to cancel your membership - be prepared to pay twice (for current month in full and for the next month) - which is £60.00. Staff erases all negative feedback from social media and bans users posting uneasy questions. Staff was misleading over the phone regarding the cancellation policy.

Really nice gym to work out and swim well worth the extra. The staff are great too and they really have gone the extra mile to be super hygienic in the age of Covid 19.

Fantastic feedback from Reece on Reception within 3 days of signing up a new member at Withworth Street. I Referred A Friend on Monday and on Wednesday received a phonecall from Reece who had updated the records and could pop in to get the £20 added on to my wristband. Great service. I did not have to badger to ask when I would receive it. Makes me willing to refer more friends. Great Communication Reece!
