Me and the wife was on our way out to visit the Xmas Markets in Manchester. Whilst walking around I decided to break off from the market and treat my wife to some jewellery. On beknown to the wife we headed to Ernest Jones in the Arndale Centre. When we arrived at the shop I said to the wife, whatever you fancy you can have for Xmas, that sparkle in her eyes said it all. A lovely assistant bye the name of Lyndsay kindly looked after the wife whilst I looked around. The shop in general was very tidy, jewellery cabinet's were lovely and clean. After the wife picked out a lovely ring I settled up at the till, the ring will be arriving in the store over the next few days. Once again Ernest Jones many thanks

  • In Roman times, Newcastle – then called Pons Aelius – was a fort on Hadrian’s Wall, and during the Saxon period, it was known as Monk Chester on account of its many religious houses.
