Love this place. A favourite in the northern quarter of Manchester. Can be a little cold if you get sat near the door. The afternoon tea doesn't need to be pre booked thankfully, which was an issue at some places in the summer. Food tastes great. Toilet had no hand wash or dryer/paper towels. Has been the case on a few occasions now. Otherwise a very pleasant visit.

5/ 5

I'd noticed this place several times when I had been visiting Manchester, its appearance from outside, attractive, stylish, with large glass windows looking out onto the street, a suitable place to retire and watch the life of Manchester go by. (R Kid!) I thought that I would try the place out, I'm glad that I did. The Sugar Junction is an independent family run business, and this is reflected in the quality and uniqueness of the food and interior space, attractively decorated. After being greeted by friendly staff, and shown to a suitable table with a commanding view of proceedings, I firstly ordered a cappuccino, and to accompany this a delicious fresh scone, served with clotted cream and an extravagant pistachio creme, just sublime. The full roasted coffee flavour melding with the yielding and fruity scone, accompanied by the cream and sweet pistachio creme, wow, what an absolute delight to the taste buds. All tables are adorned with a small but tasteful flower arrangement and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. So when in Manchester next, if your in this particular area, do seek out the Sugar Junction, a first class establishment. Well done Sugar Junction.

Very friendly staff, good atmosphere and interesting laid back covers of songs while you eat. My only issue is that the eggs were definitely not cooked right and has given me nausea and stomach issues all day, which has almost done the near-impossible task of putting me off eggs. Might come back again... but probably wont order the eggs.

Such a perfect afternoon in the cutest place. Delicious food, yummy baked goodies and the most friendly staff. We went as a party of 8 friends, 6 of us had the afternoon tea and 2 had the pasta. Everything was served quickly and with a smile. The afternoon tea was presented well on 3 tiers and everything was freshly baked and tasty. It was extremely filling I asked to take away in a box as I couldn’t finish it. My friends said the pasta was the best they had tasted for a long time. Just to add both the coffee and tea were brewed to perfection and served in such beautiful cups. All in all a Wonderful experience in a lovely original place! Highly recommend!!
