We used the reedscreening service because it is advertised as quick and efficient. These 2 words could not be further from the truth. After giving all the required information it took reed 6 days to email back asking for additional email addresses. After phoning and emailing to query why it had taken them so long to request this info it took them 2 days to respond and only after I had spoken to 4 different people and requested a call back countless times. We are now 3 weeks into this service and I have today alone phoned 10+ times and am having to spam their various emails to get a response to a simple query in regards to how the completed checks will be issued, email or post. Terrible service all round. Would have been cheaper, quicker and easier to go through the police service to complete DBS checks.

Such terrible service received I felt the need to post 2 reviews slating reedscreenings customer service. Why? because I have follow through, something reeds customer service does not. Avoid this company for DBS screenings and checks. Save yourself money, time and hassle and use the police service or any other provider.

I had the worse experience after applying for a 6month temp position. A 5year employment history requested and references from all of them wanted to be taken. I provided everything and i signed that im ok for reed screening to share details with the recruiter so i considered the screening done. Week later and after i rang them, still they were saying that references missing but if i wouldnt ring them nobody would actually inform me. And 4 weeks later ( and after me providing the same document 3 times to different people and still i was receiving emails about the urgency of submitting that document) they came back to me saying that they cannot take it further with me due to not having more time to complete the referencing!!! Honestly, the worse experience i ever had!! Literally....waste of time!!
