We come to Masons for special occasions. And boy does this place make you feel special. The service is absolutely flawless! They make you feel like a king. But the food is something even better. Impeccable cooking. We had the chateaubriand sharer which came with polenta chips and garlic chips, spring greens and 2 sauces. One of the best pieces of meat we have ever had! Cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The standout desert was a chocolate marquise. Honestly in my top deserts we have ever had. This desert should be entered into a competition! The chocolate was rich but not overpowering, but every bite was heaven and the blackcurrant sorbet had deep flavour and went well with the chocolate. Superb

Fantastic food and the service was impeccable. Really first class. Only have a small selection of wines on the menu you get but ask for the full list for a better range . Lovely building, toilets are worth a trip haha. Hope to be back soon

We have just had the most amazing chateaubriand, which was cooked to perfection. The wine that accompanied it was wonderful. The service was impeccable. Can’t wait to go again.

Amazing meal. The duck was melt in the mouth and the sauce fabulous. As for the cherry and almond crumble simply the best I've ever had. The crumble was a buttery delight and the cherries and ice cream a perfect marriage. Mason's back to its best will be back asap.

Genuinely enjoyed our dinner there. The fish pie was fantastic, although I'm not sure why it's called a pie. Was more of a creamy fish soup. Speaking of soups, the cauliflower soup for starter was great too. Service was friendly and prompt. Can definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful food and great service. My only criticism would be the Baked Alaska dessert. No dessert should be this hard work as the centre was so solid it took a knife to get into it! Also meringue should be crisp on the outside and marshmallow on the inside. This meringue was just soft almost like a cream - not great!

Took my mum to Masons restaurant bar for a birthday meal out. The food was impeccable, extremely full of flavour and elegantly presented. The staff were friendly and good at checking in with you for assistance, drinks & the bill. Didn't feel rushed even though it was a Saturday night before Christmas. The building is also interesting due to the Masons heritage and lovely decor throughout. Would highly recommend

Just amazing, we were treated to champagne when we sat down to celebrate our anniversary. The food was amazing, we had the antipasti to start followed by the chicken and my husband had a rib eye steak. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The only thing that was a bit bothersome which I removed a star for was the seating. I called up two weeks beforehand to ask if it would be possible to have a table in a corner or not with people either side of us, this was down to health concerns on my part so I wanted adequate space between us and other diners. I was assured they would make a note and try to accommodate this. I got a call a week later to take deposits for the meal and while on this call I mentioned it again to make sure there was a note on our booking about the table. Again I was assured this would be no problem. When we got to the restaurant we were sat at a table with tables either side of us and I asked to move. We were eventually moved to a small table with still people very close on one side. We agreed to the table and assumed that they must have been expecting a lot of large parties in later on that meant there wasn't anywhere else to sit us. About half an hour after we sat down another couple arrived and we led to a huge booth opposite us, we assumed more people would be joining them but no, it was only the two throughout their meal. At this point I felt really put out because we were made to feel like we were being bothersome in asking for a bit more space between us and the next table.
