Beautiful historic Inn with a fascinating history and architecture to march. Full of cosy nooks and crannies, and secluded patios, it's a great, homely hotel, and an excellent family pub. Ample parking and access. Great food, beautifully prepared and at reasonable prices. Very good staff and service. Overall, a super place to chill, eat, drink - and stay overnight.

We stayed one night in July, parking was free, room clean, had to wait a long time for our meals in the pub, since our stay we have been hounded by parking eye demanding £100 fine, numerous emails and calls and still not sorted, we would not recommend!!!

We stayed for a weekend break to visit the Christmas markets. Perfectly located. 5 minutes to the cathedral and centre. Similar distance to the quay. Helpful, friendly staff. Cheap parking for guests. Lovely old pub and restaurant downstairs. Room was clean and had everything we needed. We would stay again!

Very good experience. Main reason I came back for a trip with my girlfriend after having stayed in hotel for work 3 weeks before was the friendlyness of the staff and the location. Liked the pub and the old building had a lot of character. Good value and liked the choice of food for breakfast, had previously stayed for work trip and the evening pub food was also nice and good value.
