Was in Brighton for a football match. The staff here were very welcoming and helpful. Despite the place being filled with football fans the atmosphere was very relaxed. The food looked good although we didn't have any. The beer wasn't bad either. Thanks for being so friendly.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff at the Lord Nelson!A few weeks ago, after my Uncles funeral, we held my Uncles wake at this pub.We had a back room in the pub with a small outside area, perfect for us. Complements to the Chef, the food (for 40 of us)was amazing and such value for money.Service was excellent, and considering the occasion,we couldn't have been happier!Thank you for making our sad day end on a lovely note.

What a great pub. A bit of an Aladin's Cave. I've walked past it many times and now wonder why!

Popular pub with good atmosphere. It's a Harvey's (local Lewes brewery) pub and keeps it's beers well, usually having a choice of ar least 4 or 5. Often busy but as it is a large (for the area) pub - it expanded into the next door shop - it doesn't feel overcrowded. In warm weather the large front windows can be opened up preventing it becoming too hot. Close to the railway station too. Recommended.

Ahhh, one of the pubs of Trafalgar Street that no matter what they do the place it still a great pub. It's much bigger than it used to be but hey, it's how the world is going if they are going to compete with the weatherspoons. Still a great pub.
