Port Meadow oxford

Just beautiful. Stunning walks along the river. Very clean well kept and you can walk for miles. Wolvercote such a lovely village and nice pubs that service food plus hot and cold drinks

A truly fantastic space. We swam, paddle boarded, picniced and chatted to the lovely locals. Free parking with a gorgeous open space and water. Divine.

Nice walk along the Thames and canals around it. Nice and out the way but walking distance from Oxford city centre, well worth the venture if you're into calm strolls.

I loved it! Beautiful green calm space where you can sit on the grass near the river, have a walk etc, it's always nice to walk where there is the nature, very relaxing.

This is quite a busy little section of the Thames path. Be prepared to go shoulder-to-shoulder with herds of cows. You have the famous Trout pub in the area, if you fancy a pint. Not saying this is a bad spot, just that I prefer a bit of peace and quiet on my walks.

Always have beautiful views over the meadow. Walks down to the river are great and two pubs within easy reach of the meadow are always good to visit. Keep an eye open too for shan the mist drops down over the meadow as this creates further stunning views.

Free public car park, with public toilets serving an historical green open space on the banks of the Thames. Close to several pubs including the Jacobs Inn. You can include it in a circular walk into the city of Oxford approx 6 miles via the Thames and back along the South Oxford canal.

Beautiful place all year round. There's the river, an expanse of space, and access to Burgess Field nature reserve. Plus, if you go to the Wolvercote end rather than the Walton Well end, there are toilets, picnic area, swimming area on the river and most importantly - free parking.

One of the last places untouched by the Universities... This is for the people of Oxford to enjoy with horses and cattle to walk amongst Overseen by the Sheriff of Oxford.

Absolutely massive! Perfect place to go for a long walk to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city! The cows, horses, and geese sometimes make for an interesting experience
