After several months of hospital admittance, homecare, due to severe chronic pain, difficulties in mobility, incontintence, sleep deprivation, amongst other issues. I have struggled to get pain relief, diagnosis’s, correct care. I handed in repeat requests to be told I hadn’t, told to wait another 72hrs for my medication, told I had to come in with another request, and refused to have a dr call back even though it was the surgery that had misplaced my repeat request, by this point I had no pain relief left, no help offered by surgery, which resulted in an ambulance taking me into hospital to try manage the pain.
It’s almost impossible to get appointments, and even though theyre well aware that I’m housebound, they still refused call outs. They lack understanding and empathy massively! I have been misprescribed medications even though I voiced strongly I am prone to having adverse reactions due to medical chemical sensitivity.. put on medications that then led to heavy rectum bleeding, and abdominal cramping, still, they then left me a week before putting me on something else. I finally get diagnosed 4 months later after being pushed from pilar to post, between derriford, Cumberland centre, district nurses to still not be given strong enough pain relief to be able to manage even day to day activities, eat, sleep, or move, the pain is so severe and all the things that are available they refuse to give and expect me to suffer and cope. Absolutely disgusting, the whole idea of healthcare professionals is to help and ease pain for their patients. The receptionist staff are rude and just as unsympathetic as the doctors, the whole surgery is diabolical. Medical negligence at its finest. Strongly advise finding another surgery even if it means travelling further to be looked after correctly. Never in my life have I ever experienced such poor care.
