Didn't open till 1pm today (due to open at 9am). No note on the door letting customers know. Eventually the store opened - three staff inside, appallingly nonchalant and slow. No apology for the late opening or slow service. My receipt got flung at me. Staff on phones. No masks. Staff laughed when a customer rang to ask why their newspaper hadn't been delivered that morning. Absolutely atrocious service. Larkhall needs and deserves a better post office service than this.

A complete embarrassment! I tried my luck visiting this branch opposed to the equally awful city branch in WH Smith. Staff are incredibly slow and have sense of urgency about them as well as having a complete lack of understanding about the products that the Post Office offers. I needed to insure my parcel however the staff member didn't know how to do it & on a suppurate occasion I was interrogated by the staff member as to why I need to insure a parcel. TRAIN YOUR STAFF & ENSURE THEY ARE COMPETENT!

Frequently rude staff, and completely unpredictable opening hours. I witnessed a heated argument between the staff and a Royal Mail driver this week, as the shop had unexpectedly closed meaning that day's collections could not be picked up. It will be a real shame to lose a local Post Office, but I wouldn't recommend posting anything here that absolutely must be sent on time.

Possibly the slowest and rudest service I've had. I'd certainly recommend walking into the centre to use the main post office as it would be quicker.

Possibly the worst post office in England. I wish I was exaggerating. The staff is unknowledgeable, incredibly rude (this is a known fact in the area), inattentive, condescending, lack basic customer service skills, take any exchange as a personal attack on them, have zero understanding for the frustrations of their customers and worst of all, they think are being constantly wronged by us customers. I've been told several times that 'they work hard'. And I believe them. But that doesn't mean they work well. I can't think of a single employee there that is pleasant (unless you get them on a good day) or that looks like they are good at their job. One member of staff might know something regarding the postal services, when another one won't have a clue. And when you ask them something they don't know, it's usually met with 'it's not my job' or some other rude answer. I'd avoid this post office like the plague, but I have nowhere else to go. And so do lots of people in Larkhall and the surrounding area. On a street that is known for local, independent shops, where customer service is key, this sticks out like a sore thumb. Larkhall deserves better. Everyone deserves better than this. This shop doesn't need new staff - they will be managed poorly and be equally bad, regardless of what their intention is. Why would anyone decent want to work there? The post office needs a complete overhaul - new manager, new staff. A manager that actually knows how to manage staff and staff that actually cares - or at least pretends to. Now we just have an entitled bunch of people that clearly feel safe in their jobs, while the whole area has the worst experience using their service. I get it. Working in a post office is hard. I've been in situations where I got frustrated at the post office (like everyone does!) and probably should just keep my mouth shut. However, it is incredibly difficult to be civil, when the person serving you is being uncivil themselves. And I also know that this staff experienced violence in the past - which I wholeheartedly reject. But they must also understand that they invite a lot of this negativity by being incredibly negative themselves. tl;dr the post office / shop and its staff are dreadful.
