Very nicely refurbished station in pleasant surroundings. Lifts and stepped ramps down to platforms from modern ticket office. Large waiting shelters on both platforms with an additional fully enclosed shelter on the southbound platform. Plenty of greenery and even some well-kept flowerbeds. No car park unfortunately, though there is space in nearby streets (at a premium during the working week).

Yeah. EDIT: I didn’t go there when I posted it but when the edit was made, I did. I usually saw the building on a 61 bus. When your at the platform, LOOK AT THOSE FLOWERS! It makes the station more beautiful

Orrell Park is a busy little station on the Merseyrail Northern Line with trains to and from Liverpool Central and Ormskirk stations. As well as ramps there are now lifts available which adds to the accessibility of this station. Staff are on site in the ticket/information office. A toilet with facilities for wheelchair users is available near the entrance.

Because I love to see some trains and drivers wave to me.
