I mean, it would be cool if the main entersnce/exit was the ticket hall instead of over the fence, but everyone’s saying “Great Staff!” So I’ll give it to the Station.

A bus stop is located in the car park and another adjacent to the station. Cars can drop off in the car park close to the ticket office and platform. Ramps and steps are available to access the platform serving Ormskirk bound trains. There are shelters to escape any inclement weather. This station has a staffed ticket office, secure cycle storage area and toilet. The station is a five minute walk away from the Aintree Retail Park.

Me and my sister (15) were both charged as adults for our tickets from Old Roan to Kirkby despite neither of us being even close to adulthood. We rarely get the train as it causes great discomfort and anxiety for us but we were exhausted and decided to do it. Another staff member tried to walk away from us when we were asking her if the train at the platform was to Kirkby. The whole experience was mentally draining and i won't be taking the train again any time soon.

The city owes its present name to William the Conqueror who, like Hadrian before him, recognized its strategic importance.
