Amazing little shop for those who like manga, board games, comics and card games. A wide variety is available at fair and decent prices. The staff are very friendly and all seem to genuinely enjoy working in the shop.

What an absolutely amazing place full of friendly staff. My husband and I have loved Travelling Man for years (ever since they were in their old location) and it is so great to see that they have managed to stay open post pandemic and they were super helpful when we were there this week buying some games for our nieces for Christmas. Really knowledgeable staff and a no-fuss shopping experience for all your nerdy needs!

Stopped in York on our way up to Northumbria and found this gem. We usually play games with a 2-3 hour play time but we were looking for a shorter game that was easy to learn for the evenings while we are away, but not overly simplistic. There was so much choice, we were a bit lost as to where to begin! However, we asked the guy behind the counter for recommendations and he was fantastic!! Not only did he pick us a winner, Escape the Dark Castle, he provided several other options for future must-haves. Could not have been more helpful. Perfect customer service, thank you so much!!

A lovely local game store with a large collection of comics and games. I can't speak for the comic side of things but I can say that there are a wide variety of board and card game to choose from that are sure to go down well at game night. If the selection seems a little overwhelming though, just have a chat with a friendly member of staff and they'll be happy to point you in the direction of the right game for you. Definitely worth popping in of you find yourself walking by.

Love this place! I only got into graphic novels at the start of the year, and the staff at Travelling Man are always extremely helpful. They have a good selection, with even more available online, and again the staff will always help you locate something in store and, as I’ve found especially helpful, suggest new reads based on what you have already enjoyed, and so far I haven’t been less wrong from their suggestions! I look forward to getting back to the store when it is safe to do so. (I personally only get graphic novels so can’t comment on the rest of the stock)
