The only podiatry clinic in York to find an appointment for an urgent need The podiatrist , Jordan Green said that if I hadn’t been treated swiftly then more than likely an infection would have had resulted He made time in his busy schedule to assess and treat me and relieved the painful condition. I am full of praise for both Sandra the receptionist who didn’t say “no” to me but said she would get back to me and did indeed find an appointment within the same day and for Jordan who is clearly a professional who loves his job, is experienced & highly skilled Very well done, both and my thanks

Can highly recommend. From initial contact making the appointment to treatment and aftercare this clinic is fabulous. The podiatrist makes you feel extremely calm while treating you absolutely perfect for someone like myself that has anxiety issues. The knowledge from the lady was immense and every step was explained to me before any action was taken. Aftercare advice was given and i was encouraged to call if i had any problems before my next appointment.

I noted on their website that the practice could offer an initial free 10 minute foot check. I was having some discomfort with my feet and though my GP suspected Plantar Fasciitis I was not convinced and was hoping to get further confirmation and a better understanding of what the issue was definitively. I had been following my GP advice and wearing orthotic insoles and specific excercise without improvement. I would have been happy to follow on the free health check with another paid for and specialist appointment and be directed to a definite diagnosis and treatment. I received a callback today and explained I wanted the check up and why. I was a little disappointed to be told I could have an appointment for a BioMechanical assessment for £60 and was also told that Prescribed Custom Orthotics started at £31. No mention made of the advertised 10 minute foot check I had rung about. I felt that the immediate tracking to a paid appointment was overly quick and came across as a hard sell without clear justification. When I pursued the possibility of the advertised free 10 minute check I was bluntly told they were booked up with none available for the next three months and were incredibly busy. I started to find it difficult to get myself heard as the caller pursued the paid for appointment avenue with overt enthusiasm. I suggested that their website be updated to reflect the lack of available 10 minute foot check appointments but my impression was that the advertisement of that service was clearly being left online and visible as an option as this encouraged would be clients to make contact and who could then be deflected into the more expensive appointments. Disappointed with this contact so decided not pursue the use of their services.

I have visited this practice several times, most recently in the last week, for both strapping of my lower leg (due to calf injury, the strapping was amazing by the way!) and for fitting of bespoke orthotics to support joint pain in my foot. The service is always professional and caring, the podiatrists take a genuine care to ensure their patients needs are understood and responded to. I was interested and somewhat alarmed by the ferocity of the comment regarding re-treatment for ingrowing toenails on here, since patients will be made aware that this can be a problem that may require follow up visits. I know this despite not being in this line of work, as it’s such a common issue...My husband suffered with these and also regularly attends the centre for treatment. As a runner he needs to keep on top of his foot issues, and the team at both Selby and York have been excellent.

Camilla was great (and Jordan too). They looked after me and I'm slightly disappointed I don't need to go back. Highly recommended, very friendly team and solved my problem. If I need anything doing in the future I'll definitely go back.
