West-End Windows Co Ltd bristol

I chose West End Windows to supply a pair of aluminium French doors and four aluminium windows. The quality of manufacturing was excellent and overall the cost was significantly less than quotes from the main dealers. Dean one of their approved fitters did a great job at installing them, also at a very competitive price.

I undertook extensive research looking for a company to replace all of my very old aluminium doors and windows that had failed of my house. Company after company visited giving the usual droning garb. How then repeated that we are the 'best in the industry' blah blah blah etc. Then I stumbled upon a local business called West-End Windows and thought why not give them an opportunity they can't be any worse. I initially spoke with Jane at the showroom in Winscombe who was polite, friendly and gave me all of the necessary brochures and spoke of what they were about. Jane advised that an appointment could be made with Karen Carr the Sales Manager for a visit to discuss my needs. No pressure or sales patter. I booked an appointment there and then and was pleasantly surprised that Karen gave detailed and knowledgeable information and actually listen to my requirements. I was also informed that a specially glazed large panel window to match the front entrance door and side panel glazing, that others had said was impossible, could be done. Karen now had my attention. Details were recorded and a subsequent quote provided. Second pleasing surprise. They were competitive. After various discussions and a number of spec changes, I asked if I could view the assembly operation before committing further. No problem and a well guided tour was provided of every aspect of the business. Again no pressure, just friendly informative advice. I decided to proceed and met Matthew Ford who undertook the survey to ensure that the specifics that I requested had been recorded and achievable. Matthew was also warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. Again no pressure. Being a smaller operation than that of the 'nationals' lead time was long(ish) but this was explained beforehand and therefore was not unexpected. The installers arrived on schedule and worked well. Again a friendly team. During installation a number of snagging points arose (not unexpected). Some were rectified immediately some were not or could not be. Matthew and Karen visited to discuss the issues of the unrectified snagging points and without hesitation agreed that these would be completed and resolved to my complete satisfaction as soon as possible. No excuses, no ifs, no buts but full ownership of the job was accepted. Wow. A rarity these days. All of the works are now complete and yes to my complete satisfaction. Nice job. My house has been transformed and my neighbours cannot believe the difference stating it looks like a new house. That is because I was listen to and my order and specifications were satisfied and fulfilled. Comments? Yes. An improvement of contact between order, first fit and second fit would be beneficial but I was not in a rush. To others this may be an issue. Having to wait quite a number weeks between first and second fit. Em! Again to others this may be an issue. Conclusion, I would definitely recommend and use West-End Windows again without hesitation despite the above. Great product, great service and great follow up. A credit to Matthew, Karen and the rest at West-End Windows. Careful you may give the industry a good name!

Very pleased with my new windows, friendly fitters who left everything clean and tidy, they did a great job. Windows look great.
