We visited the store yesterday as our 10 year old wanted to upgrade his skateboard. The service he received was 1st class, unlike myself he's pretty clued up on the hardware but the man behind the counter helped him with new trucks and wheels to fit his budget once he'd decided on a new deck, as well as even throwing in a few freebies. We all left the store really satisfied from the whole experience, and would recommend anyone looking for a new board to go visit the store as the customer care , and advise we received was something you can't experience from an online store such as skatehut.

I travelled from Bradford to this skate store to find a beginners’ skateboard for my 12yo enby. Fraser served us and was just fantastic, clearly putting in the work and awareness as an ally, with a good understanding of the anxiety that the children of the pandemic are feeling in busy social environments. When the store surroundings became overwhelming, he was able to move us to a more private area to try out boards, and helmets. Also, he’s a self confessed skater geek overflowing with information should you have anything you want to ask. He’s also tapped into the local skater community and can signpost groups that might be of interest. It’s exactly what I was looking for as a parent to a child at the beginning of a skater journey. Yes, I could have bought the board cheaper from an online outlet, but the objective for us was to speak with a skater for real life experiential advice and insights, which is what we got. Thanks Fraser for all your work and help. My 12yo scored you 6 stars (out of 5) and found you really kind and helpful. I’d highly recommend for parents/carers with lots of questions wanting to support the aspirations of their future-skaters.
