Have shopped here for years and it is a ‘standard’ Waitrose. However, in recent years they have been playing around with the store facilities and contents. Two real areas of concern: 1. The delicatessen counter system has never really worked, it is difficult to know where to queue and the assistants do not or cannot track who is first at the counter. This has been compounded by the recent ,7 Sept, change of supplier and layout. This change has removed stock items like pork pies, ploughman’s pies and the entire cooked meats selection. I assume this is because slicing meat to order is time consuming and staffing levels do not cater for this. Not an improvement. 2. I understand why Waitrose want us to scan our own items, it helps reduce staffing levels, it certainly does not enhance the shopping experience. However, the self scan only works if the system works and increasingly we are finding items that do not scan and then checkouts that cannot reconcile the shop even when we have correctly scanned everything. Waitrose need to put more effort into providing systems that work if they are going to continue reducing staff levels.

Great selection of different foods even if a little pricey compared to other supermarkets. Lovely cafe and the whole shop is bright and airy. Seemed to be lacking staff at the time of my visit but could have been because of day and time. Loved my look around but found that although great for speciality foods and special treats I would not make it my main place for general shopping.

15 minutes late got a 40 pounds car park fine from some Britania Parking goes up to 70 pounds if not paid within 14 days beware. Surprised that a well respected company like Waitrose would use what is i suggest a below standard company even the letter they sent is on inferior quality paper. BEWARE.Will not be using Waitrose at Salisbury again.

Had an excellent coffee & cake in the Cafe and it was just what was needed. Good value too. Choice was limited but Cafe was still quiet - needs more customers- I go whenever I can to support them, let's help them get through this crisis - use it or lose it!
